Leadership

Pedro Jaramillo
Principal Architect, AIA

Pedro Jaramillo is a leader in every sense of the word.  Fun, engaging, and involved, he mentors staff through every phase of a project.  His repertoire includes extensive institutional and educational experience on projects both large and small.  Detail oriented, his exceptional abilities with computer graphics has been instrumental in visualizing dynamic environments to be enjoyed by future generations.

Pedro holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Woodbury University and is a licensed Architect in the State of California.  His knowledge, dedication, and enthusiasm anchor every firm effort and enhance every design team. 

Education extends into the Jaramillo household. Pedro's wife Kathleen is a Resource Specialist at a High School in the Inland Empire and a son who is perusing his Professional Engineering license in civil engineering while their daughter looks at attending a local university next year.

Architectural Revit Manager/Job Captain

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Architectural Revit Manager/ Job Captain to join our team and lead the effective utilization of Revit software to help drive the successful execution of our architectural projects.

$35-$40 per hour/40 hours per week.

Job Description:

As the Architectural Revit Manager/Job Captain at PCH Architects, you will have two roles. First as Revit Manger, you will be responsible for overseeing the integration and implementation of Revit software in our architectural projects. You will play a pivotal role in streamlining our design and documentation processes and ensuring the use of the latest BIM (Building Information Modeling) technologies. Your expertise will help us stay at the forefront of architectural design.

Secondly, as a Job Captain, you will be a crucial part of the coordination and management of architectural projects. You will work closely with the project manager and design team to ensure projects are delivered with precision and meet the highest standards of design and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Revit Manager:

• Lead the implementation and management of Revit software in architectural projects.

• Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain Revit standards and protocols.

• Provide training and support to team members in the effective use of Revit.

• Oversee the development of BIM models and ensure their accuracy.

• Manage the coordination of Revit models with other project stakeholders.

• Troubleshoot and resolve Revit-related issues to maintain project efficiency.

• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging BIM technologies.

Job Captain:

• Preparation of architectural conceptual and schematic design graphics, plans, and renderings for presentation purposes for client review and approval.

• Generate meeting minutes and disseminate information to project team.

• Ability to conduct and perform site visits to measure/document and photograph project as needed to establish existing conditions.

• Cartoon prepare/develop, redline, and review design development and construction documents for project team use.

• Generate and manage project team and consultant schedules and timelines.

• Prioritize workload for drafting multiple projects and communicate/negotiate delivery dates with project team.

• Develop and assemble a set of drawings and specs together for agency review and approval.

• Able to Multitask on multiple projects at any given workday.

• Get plans approved through DSA (FLS/ACS/SSS) via Bluebeam/Electronic submittal, OTC, and Back-check

• Provide Construction administrative assistance to PA or PM with reviewing and processing submittals, RFIs, Instructional Bulletins, and CCDs through to DSA.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Architecture or related field strongly encouraged.

• Professional experience as an Architectural Revit Manager/Job Captain, with a minimum of 4 years in K-12 and DSA experience required.

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and related BIM software.

• Strong knowledge of architectural design, construction processes, and BIM standards.

• Excellent project management and leadership capabilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
